At Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology, we offer several in-office procedures. This is very convenient for our patients because there is no general anesthesia involved, no hospital costs, and patients are in and out of the office for most procedures within an hour. These are the in-office procedures that we offer:

  • Colposcopy for management of vulvar, vaginal, and cervical disease (abnormal pap smears)
  • LEEP Procedures (surgery on the cervix for cervical disease, abnormal pap smears)
  • Cryosurgery for cervical disease
  • Endometrial ablation: used to treat heavy menstrual bleeding. It is a process of destroying the lining of the uterus that is shed during menstruation. The procedure can be done either in the operating room or the office.
  • Urinary Dynamics Testing for urinary incontinence
  • Pelvic ultrasounds
  • Hysteroscopy for uterine disease: with this procedure a camera is placed through the cervix and into the uterus in order to evaluate the uterine cavity for etiology of the patient’s disorder.
  • Excision of vulvar/vaginal lesions: abnormal growths that appear on the vulva or in the vagina may need to be to be removed.
